In order to meet the objectives of the Council’s Biodiversity and Tree and Woodland policies, we have been working with the Forestry Commission and expert consultants to produce ten year woodland management plans for all of the Council’s woodlands. We are now in the process of producing draft plans for our latest batch of sites, which includes Blackheath Common.
Below is a link to the consultation page for the draft Blackheath Common Woodland Management plan. Here you can review the draft plan and have the opportunity to leave any queries, suggestions or comments.

The aim of this plan is to increase habitat variety and thereby biodiversity, strengthen resilience to climate change, and ensure the longevity and sustainability of the woodland.
I will also put up posters on site informing users of the opportunity to view the draft plan and submit comments, before submitting it to the Forestry Commission for final approval.
Best wishes,
