Dear Residents,

We are just taking this opportunity to share with you some recent updates in the Parish and to highlight a request from AndCompany, who are redeveloping the St John’s Seminary to provide them with feedback.

You can download the feedback form here. Please complete and send directly to James at AndCompany (James@and-company.uk)

Details of this and other matters also included in on our virtual noticeboard. Matters include:

  • Plans for local playgrounds maintained by Wonersh Parish Council with equipment funded by our local community. Noting the repair of the rocking horse in Wonersh will be sponsored by a local company.

  • Consultations from Waverley Borough Council on managing the local air quality

  • Consultations from Surrey County Council on planning the future bus network

  • Surrey County Council School admissions

Following extensive tree works in Gerald’s Wood the slopes will shortly be reopened. The top will remain closed allowing time to respond to the Woodland Management Plan objective to:

“Maintain public access via designated trails enabling the retention of standing deadwood, veteran trees and trees with habitat features in habitat preservation areas beyond falling distance of designated paths”

If you would like to be part of this plan and to assist in restoring this beautiful space for public use, join Wonersh Woodland Group on one of their working party days. The email address to contact Mike and Neil is geraldswood1959@gmail.com

Wonersh Parish Council and Wonersh Woodland Group are grateful to Surrey County Councillor, Kevin Deanus, for funding this plan through his Member’s Community Allocation.

As ever, we invite members of the public to attend a public meeting if agendas highlight areas of concern and interest and to join Working Parties to progress plans for the local environment, playgrounds and traffic and transport, amongst others. Please get in touch with our Clerk, Lisa, in the first instance.

Kind regards,

Wonersh Parish Council
